The GCE-LTER primarily uses ESRI products to create and manage its GIS data. A detailed overview of these can be found at ESRI.

For those users that do not have access to licensed ESRI software, many of our data sets can be imported into free GIS viewers, such as: Quantum GIS, TatukGIS, Geomatica Freeviewer, Christine GIS, Geospatial Explorer, Natural Resources Database, ScanMagicLite and ER Viewer.

In addition, we provide a variety of our data as KML files, which can also be viewed in a number of free programs (see KML Resources below).
